|Brad Johnson is a Fellow and past president of the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects, a Member Emeritus of the Ontario Association of Landscape Architects and an Academician of the Royal Canadian Academy of Art, the first landscape architect to be so honoured
Brad Johnson has been instrumental in major government, corporate and private projects.
From his early years Johnson has pushed against irrationally imposed constraints defining the scope of landscape architecture. Johnson believes that the term landscape simply defines where we are; whether vast or intimate, open or encased, dark or bright, animated or still and not just green. To work with where we are demands the requisite skills to make rational solutions. But to reach a higher plane requires empathy with the landscape, its extended context and intended purpose. Johnson is empathetic by nature and places great importance on implications of context.
